parc de la tete d’or
Last August, I travelled with my family to Lyon, and one of my favorite memories was renting bicycles from our hotel and traveling around the park- Parc de la Tete d’Or. The scenery was absolutely stunning… full of wild flowers, deer, and swans swimming in the lake. I hope to go back someday!

I’m loving all these trends (except maybe fedora’s)… I’m hoping that sequins, capes, leopard, and leather stick around in 2012! How about you?

Forgive me for the flats– today I have to run all around town doing errands so that I can get everything off my to-do list before New Years Eve! Hopefully I’ll have enough time to get in some New Years Eve dress shopping (or suit–haven’t decided yet) before my family dinner with the boyfriend’s parents. I made some homemade fudge with walnuts for them, and it’s taking all of my self-restraint not to finish it all…

Getting ready to go out for dinner and drinks with with my friend Eyhdon. Somehow it feels like a Friday even though it’s just a Tuesday, so I am going to treat it as though it is! The sequin cardigan will be vastly out of place at the a sports bar– but in my opinion, standing out is never a bad thing. And I can never resist anything with sequins. That, and red nail polish always seem to brighten up my day.
I just turned so 21– okay, in September– so I’m relatively new to the whole bar scene and never know what to order so I usually stick with a boring rum & coke… any suggestions for an interesting drink to order?

An easy way to stand out this New Year’s Eve is to wear an impeccably tailored tux among the multitude of glittered and sparkly cocktail dresses. Consider me tempted….

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s look in the January edition of Harper’s Bazaar UK is pure perfection. Shot by Tom Munro, Whiteley dons a sultry Mad Men-esque wardrobe of sheath dresses, flirty leopard skirts, and baby doll coats. Her Grace Kelly curls paired with coquettish Brigitte Bardot winged eyeliner and pink lips certainly don’t hurt her cause. Très jolie…
